Jennifer Janesko began drawing and painting female images at a very early age. The Kansas City artist started exhibiting sensual female paintings in galleries after graduating from Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in December, 1989. Her original, limited edition and poster images have captured collectors from all over the world. As a fine artist, Jennifer focuses her attention on the female form. Each female has a distinctive personality, yet all possess an honest sensuality. High contrast and sharp direction are the two elements that form the basis of her art. Jennifer chooses certain parts of the figure to create movement and flow, which allows the viewer to feel the strength and energy of the figure. As an added effect, Jennifer often uses metallic gold and silver on selected areas of clothing and accessories. The hard, reflective metallic sharply contrasts with the soft, flowing skin for a dramatic effect. Jennifer uses airbrush and paintbrush to create a mixed media painting. Original paintings range in size from 30" x 40" to 40" x 60" on board and are priced at $5,000 and up. Larger paintings are done on canvas. The large canvas pieces are most often present at her gallery showings, or on special request of the client. Collectors can also have custom portraits created in a pinup style. Jennifer Janesko's distinctive art is quickly achieving international recognition. Playboy magazine featured illustrations by Janesko in the June 1998, March 1999, March 2000 and February 2001 issues. Janesko has been showcased in Maxim magazine, Femme Fatales, PINUP and took the cover of a Scream Queens issue. Janesko work was featured in International publications such as Desire and Skin Two of England, Marquis Fetish Images and OTO of Germany. Additional recognition has been gained through airbrush art publications, such as AIR Brush-Action, Airbrush Art + Action and Airbrush magazines. Television stations such as FOX and MSNBC have also spotlighted the artist's work. Janesko is also scheduled to appear in the second "New American Pinup" hardcover book, which will feature notable modern pinup artists. Beginning in 1991 Janesko art was shown at California, Nevada and New York Art Expositions. She has had one woman shows at J.M. Porters in Kansas and at the Thomas Charles Gallery in Caesars Forum, Las Vegas. Jennifer's work was featured in compilation shows at Di Turi & David Gallery in Soho, New York in 1995. In 1998 and 1999 her images were part of the Lifestyles exhibition in Nevada. Jennifer currently displays her work at various convention shows in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. Jennifer's original art can also be seen in the 1994 film "Exit To Eden", directed by Gary Marshall. Original paintings are currently sold through Janesko Fine Art, LLC. |
